Benjamin Franklin was the most iconic figure of the 18th Century, the embodiment of the American Spirit, and - by the latter parts of the century - the most recognized man in the world.  His contributions to American science and society were unequalled.  Even by age 16 many of the interests and qualities that would distinguish Franklin were already evident, though raw.  Young Franklin introduces the mischievous, saucy, talented, and witty Franklin in a way that makes each episode both a delight and a discovery.
